Who we are
This website is run by CWB Dog Training, based in Wall Heath, Kingswinford, West Midlands, UK. We are the “controller” of any personal information you give us through this website, which means we decide how it’s used.
If you have any questions about your information, email info.cwbdogtraining@gmail.com or call 07804 251993.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us:
- Enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, your dog’s name, breed and age, the course or service you’re interested in, and anything you write in your message.
- Email, phone or WhatsApp: whatever you send when you contact us directly.
We don’t use analytics or tracking on this website, and we don’t collect information about you automatically. Our web host keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure and running; we don’t use these to identify you.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange training, courses or home visits.
- To provide the training you’ve booked and support you between sessions.
Under UK data protection law, our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement with you, providing the service you’ve booked, and our legitimate interest in replying to messages sent to us. We never sell your information or use it for marketing without asking you first.
Who we share it with
We don’t share your information with anyone except the services that help us run the business:
- Web3Forms delivers enquiry form messages to our inbox.
- Google (Gmail) stores our emails.
- GitHub hosts this website.
- Bookwhen handles course bookings. When you book through Bookwhen, their own privacy policy applies as well as ours.
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries messages if you choose to contact us that way.
- JustReview shows live Google reviews, only if you accept cookies.
- Google Maps shows a map of the area, only if you accept cookies.
Some of these companies may store data outside the UK. They do so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law. We may also share information if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. For clients, we keep training records for as long as we’re working together and for up to 2 years afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off if you return. After that, we delete them.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it
To do any of these, email info.cwbdogtraining@gmail.com. We’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We only use cookies if you say yes. With your consent, we show live Google reviews (JustReview) and a map of the area (Google Maps). These services may set cookies and receive technical information such as your IP address. If you choose “Reject”, nothing from them is loaded: you’ll see a selection of our reviews and a link to the map instead.
We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage, so you aren’t asked on every page. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings, which is also linked at the bottom of every page.
If you follow a link to another site, such as Bookwhen, Google, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, that site’s own cookie and privacy policies apply.
